In less than 30 days the Chinese government is expected to officially announce reopening the country to imports of Brazilian beef.
At the end of 2012 imports of Brazilian beef have been suspended after the atypical BSE recorded in Brazil.
Brazil has currently eight beef plants approved for export to China and another nine under approval process.
With the recent decision of China AQSIQ to adopt new BSE rules and acknowldge the OIE country classification in regards to BSE / TSE the chances of Brazil to start importation of bovine blood products into China have significantly increased.
